Immersive storytelling in the tradition of classic horror literature through interaction, rather than words, is the goal of "The Puppet Factory". In this Xr experience in the fashion of an escape game, players make their way through the abandoned building, solving puzzles and exploring the grotesque environment of a long-forgotten place.

Overcoming the limitations of the virtual space by an elevator, players navigate through a variety of increasingly surreal rooms. The tension rises through an interplay of empowerment and denial. The key philosophy in the creation of this vertical slice was to leave as much of the dread as possible to the player’s imagination.

This game is a student project created with Unreal Engine 4 within 14 weeks during the 4. semester of Game Design at the University of Applied Science Berlin.
